BLURB –

Making A Poem is a powerful affecting collection of poetry that sheds a fascinating light upon the writing process and poet’s personal aesthetics. These are eloquent pieces where the poet displays a confident command of the poetic form to bring his ideas and observations to life. The pieces that ponder the reality of poetic expression are perhaps most fascinating. Their reflexivity results in a most engaging collection of poems. Making A Poem is an intuitive, thoughtful and creative pieces that work together as a cohesive collection.

The Final Truth of God Soul and Salvation Demystified

BLURB –

The book, ‘The Final Truth of God Soul and Salvation Demystified’ speaks about core spiritual philosophies and nothing else. All extraneous matters have been strictly excluded. It is written in question and answer format for the sake of clarity and ease to understand. The true value of this book lies in demystification of spirituality through crystal clear SSclarity of thought that is devoid of ambiguities and vain mysticism. The book puts forth many fresh philosophical views, which are contrary to that of established religious dogmas and philosophies on many vital aspects of spirituality. The book is a product of long years of study, meditation, contemplation and spiritual enquiry. It is a potential rabble-rouser, as it strikes very hard at heart of established pseudo spiritual beliefs and practices. Even a cursory look at content index will give good overview of the book. This book is must read for all enquiring minds. None of the present religion answers all the questions regarding spiritual matters that arise in the mind of intelligent and scientifically grounded mind. Icebergs in Paradise by Sayan Basak(poetry)

Icebergs in Paradise by [Basak, Sayan]

Blurb –

There is a relationship between the eye contacts we make and the perceptions that we create in our heads, a relationship between the sound of another’s voice and the emotions that we feel in our hearts, a relationship between our movements in space all around us and the magnetic pulls we can create between others and ourselves. All of these things (and more) make up the magic of every ordinary day and if we are able to live in this magic, to feel and to dwell in it, we will find ourselves living with magic every day. These are the white spaces in life, the spaces in between the written lines, the cracks in which the sunlight filters into. Some of us swim in the overflowing of the wine glass of life, we stand and blink our eyes in the sunlight reaching unseen places, we know where to find the white spaces, we live in magic.
Icebergs in Paradise is a journey that will make you travel the entire world of emotions – starting it from joy to sadness, love to pain, fear to cheer and anger to tranquility. ”

Review –

Starting with the cover it is all blue in color – calm and yet destructing the way blue color is. The blurb gives you about the type of poems are present. The title is different. relating to a metaphor as per the poet. Vocabulary is amazing and you get to learn new words and imagery. Most of the poems are lenghty. Some poems take a little time to be understood. The way each poem flows- the description is beautiful. his/her both perceptions of poems are present. The theme of the poems range widely from daily observations, fights, as a person,  mental health, sky life, love and society issues. you will notice skies and ocean being used alot of times in poems which shows love for skies.

Favourite lines – into your embrace and we fade into starry skies.

Favourite poems – anguish, before autumn, rapt, as we once were.

For poetry readers this book will take you to different world of imagery and new silences.

I Shouldn’t Have Died Like This – by Ashutosh Srivastava

BLURB –

Dreams… We thank God, after we wake up from a nightmare. And we are also the one, who curse God after we wake up from a dream in which we had all the luxuries of the world, or in which we had achieved what we really wanted to. Smile or grief comes to us, when we wake up from the dream, but when we are asleep, we live in the dream, as we are… Dreams take us to a land filled with imagination; imagination which is by our conscious and subconscious mind. Name, Fame, Money, Honey… that’s it. That’s all we want! Isn’t it? What if you die in your dream? What if you didn’t go to hell or to heaven, because when your deeds got tallied, you didn’t fit in, for any of them? What if you attain enlightment in your dream? What then? Nothing! It will also come to an end, just like every other dream does; leaving you behind with just a story… a story, which can teach you something..

REVIEW –

The cover is a bit trippy. Showing adventures and misadventures. The blurb is crisp doesn’t give away the story. The title goes along well. The story revolves from the perspective of the person who is dead due to unfortunate events and is living in the afterlife somewhere between dreams. What you will really enjoy is the imagination, naming of the objects (likw ru, shrota) and how different it is than the other usual stories one reads. The language is simple and easy to underdstand. how he meets different people there. What if everything is a dream, what if we could change everything. Language is easy to understand. Plot is something with a really unique twist and has a sequel as well. Really amazing work.

Each one is different ,each one is beautiful in their own way. The story revolves around love. Characterization could be done better. blurb – gives about the types of poems that are in the book.

The book consists of pictures inside this book accompanying each poem. Poems are in rhyme scheme. Based on friendship, phases of life, marriage, feelings, holding on, letting go, loneliness and all that we cannot weave in words. The poems are effective and relatable. The length of the poems are mostly long. Instead of the pictures illustrations would look better. The book is a less than a hours refreshing read. The poems i really liked are – teenage, little lonely heart, heart and brain, vicious life and memories.

All the poems are relatable and consist of depth, lightness in them. A refreshing read delving you into a little more meaning of life.
