Fear Is the Key – by Juggi Bhasin

BLURB –

A bitter winter wind blowing outside spoke to me. There was no one else. And then it struck me. She might have truly disappeared! Sometimes, you get a sense of these things . . .’

It’s been one hell of a tough week at Yummimages, a digital infotainment site, with controversies seeping into the politicking within the office. To calm things down, Rahul, the founder, plans a party at his home. His goal is to set things right between his fiancée-to-be, Simone, and his business partner and close friend, Suhel. With the party in full swing it’s time for Rahul to have ‘the talk’, but suddenly Simone is nowhere to be found.

As all investigations come to naught, Rahul takes matters into his own hands and soon has a few suspects lined up. It’s just a matter of time before he knows the truth. But reality can be so twisted, so bizarre, so utterly unbelievable . . .

This book, by the creator of Agent Rana, will continue to give you chills long after you have read it.

REVIEW –

Starting of with the cover it is really intriguing giving more power to the title’fear’.  The colours do the wonder to bring out the fear. The story revolves around rahul, suhel and simone who goes missing at the party. The title is riveting. After reading the blurb you do want to know what the story is all about. The book starts off good and gets a bit confusing towards the middle. Too many twists are there in the book which makes it more interesting to read. It is a little long read.Characterization has been done well. The story could have much better flow. You might think the book is about finding simone which instead leads to a truth which is rather really huge. The language used is easy. Plot is good. The author has written with alot of research and keeping all the characters intact all the time. The book is mediumly paced. Friendship, romance, psychology, revenge all the themes are used. The ending leaves you with goosebumps. The imagery formed by the author is a tremendous job done with ease. Book filled with suspense and thrill. A good book.

Overall -4/5.

Hangover – by Shilpi

BLURB –

Sneha, a beautiful young woman, was too rigid to fall in love. When he gave a knock at the locked doors of her heart that were meant to keep any man from entering her life, she resisted in opening it.

Love entered her life when she fell for Vikrant. However, life took a different turn and they parted ways. After being married to different people for a long term, they realise they are still in love with each other. There is no infidelity or cheating here, but only love.

Hangover attempts to redefine love, and in the process, make you realise that love has no definition, that it is boundless.

REVIEW –

Starting of with the cover it looks like a girl who is contemplating. The story is a typical love story between two and how they do not stay together. The title of the story keeps on repeating over and again in the book. Hangover of each others love even after a span of long time. The main characters are sneha and vicky. The story revolves around their college life and how they keep getting away. How love rises and keeps moving them closer. The narration is from sneha’s point of life. Hinglish is used in the book. Hindi shayari is also there which adds to the beauty. Sneha’s past and present keeps on narrating. characterization was alright. What  you will dislike is the spelling mistakes. English which was very simple and childish at times. The book looked promising but did not quite stay to the word. Alot of changes could have been made. A Short read with simple story line.
